Sri Krishnadevaraya University had its beginning as the Post Graduate centre of Sri Venkateswara University in the year 1968. It has gained autonomy in the year 1976. Fulfilling the desires of the people of the region, the Autonomous Post Graduate centre was given the status of the University in the Year 1981. Presently, it is catering to the higher educational needs of the revenue districts of Anantapur and Kurnool. The Post Graduate centre at Kurnool was brought under the jurisdiction of the University in the year 1993.

Post-Graduate courses and research programmes are presently offered by the University at the University College, Anantapur, and at the Post Graduate centre, Kurnool. The University College offers 38 post graduate courses through 28 departments. 11 post graduate courses are being conducted at the P.G. centre, Kurnool through 8 departments.

Sri Krishnadevaraya University is contributing to the cause of higher education through 112 affiliated degree colleges of which 7 are meant exclusively for women. The other colleges affiliated to the University include 26 Colleges of Education, 2 Oriental Colleges, 2 Law Colleges and one Engineering College. 20 affiliated colleges under the University are also offering post graduate courses in various disciplines. Acharya Nagarjuna University, Guntur, Andhra Pradesh

Acharya Nagarjuna University has completed three decades of its existence.  It was inaugurated on 11th September, 1976 by the former President of India, Sri Fakruddin Ali Ahmed.  The University at present offers post-graduate education in 47 courses (39 on the University campus, 4 at UniversityPG Campus at Nuzvid and 5 at University PG Campus at Ongole) besides Post-graduate courses in affiliated colleges.

Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh

Andhra University is not just one of the oldest educational institutions in the country, but is also the first to be conceived as a residential and teaching-cum-affiliating University, mainly devoted to post-graduate teaching and research. The University Presently is Offering 313 Courses in Arts, Commerce, Management, Science & Technology, Engineering, Law, Pharmacy and Education. The University has five constituent colleges and four AU Campuses.   The Colleges of Arts and Commerce is the biggest constituent college in the University with 26 Departments offering 42 courses including four Diploma Courses.  The College of Science and Technology has 21 Departments, which offers 63 Courses including one PG Diploma.  The College of Engineering has 15 Departments offering Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Research Programmes.  The College of Law has been identified as an advanced Center in Law by UGC.  The college of Pharmaceutical Sciences is first of its kind in South India, which is offering one UG Programme and six PG Programmes, besides Research Programmes leading to Ph.D. Degree. The University of Hyderabad, a premier institution of post graduate teaching and research in the country, was established by an Act of Parliament (Act No. 39 of 1974) on 2nd October, 1974 as a Central University, Wholly financed by the University Grants Commission.

Kakatiya University, Andhra Pradesh

Kakatiya University is located in the historical City of Warangal in northern Telengana of Andhra Pradesh. The University has been named after the great Kakatiya Dynasty which ruled this region with Warangal as capital during the twelfth and thirteenth centuries. It has completed 25 years of its existence.
